AIT thanks all donors for their generous support.

AIT Chairman Dr. Tongchat Hongladaromp (STE’62) and AIT Alumni at King Mongkut University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) donate for Renovation of Student Village 1 dorms.
Dr. Tongchat Hongladaromp, an AIT alumnus in Structural Engineering in 1962 and the 10th Chairman of AIT Board of Trustees, signed an agreement with AIT President Dr. Eden Woon on 20 January 2020 for a donation of 504,969 Thai Baht earmarked for the renovation of Student Village 1 (SV1).
In recognition, the building is named after Dr. Tongchat Hongladaromp and AIT Alumni at KMUTT.
Mr. Rathawit Na Lamphun, AIT School of Management alumnus (SOM’15) and Assistant Chief Executive Officer of Index International Group Company Limited, presented a donation of 500,000 Thai Baht on 13 December 2019 to AIT President Dr. Eden Y. Woon as support for the recent 60th Anniversary and towards the upgrade of Student Village 1 (SV3). In recognition of this generous donation, the building will be named after the Na Lamphun family. Mr. Na Lamphun was accompanied by his father, Dr. Chainarong Na Lamphun, a prominent alumnus (WRD’80) and the Chief Executive Officer of Index International Group Company Limited. President Woon expressed his appreciation to Mr. Na Lamphun and the Na Lamphun family for their continued support to the Institute
Agreement signing between Asian Institute of Technology and Dr. Varaporn Jaovisidha, an alumna from Systems Engineering & Management (1973), on 15th November 2019.
Dr. Varaporn is currently working as Director at Toyota Tsusho (Thailand).
Dr. Varaporn presented a donation cheque 1.2 Million Baht to AIT President Dr. Eden Y. Woon toward full scholarship for a Master’s Student.
Agreement Signing between Asian Institute of Technology and Eastern Star Real Estate Public Company Limited on 15th November 2019.
Dr. Torsak Lertsrisakulrat, AIT Structural Engineering in 1998 and Managing Director of Eastern Star Real Estate Public Co. Ltd. , presented a donation cheque of 200,000 Thai Baht to AIT President Dr. Eden Y. Woon for upgrading campus facilities (student dormitory).
Alumni Rafiul Ahad and Frances Kasala Ahad (AIT alum, 1980) Donate 1 million THB towards Student Exchange Scholarship Program on the occasion of AIT’s 60th Anniversary.
AIT Alumni Association (Sri Lanka Chapter) donates 12-credits tuition fellowship for Master’s student from Sri Lanka on the occasion of AIT’s 60th Anniversary.
AIT Alumni Association (Bangladesh Chapter) donates Master’s tuition fellowship for a student from Bangladesh. The donation was made to commemorate AIT’s 60th Anniversary.
Alumnus Mr. Susanto Halim (Systems Engineering & Management, 1973)) donates seven Library study chairs on the occasion of AIT’s 60th Anniversary celebrations.
Alumnus Mr. Chen Ren Chung (School of Civil Engineering, 1972) donates eight Library study chairs on the occasion of AIT’s 60th Anniversary celebrations.
Alumnus Dr. Yanyong Phataralaoha (School of Advanced Technologies, 1986) and Managing Director of Thai Pipe Industry Co., Ltd., donates Student Exchange Scholarship Program on the occasion of AIT’s 60th Anniversary celebrations.
AIT Chinese Alumni in Thailand donates Student Exchange Scholarship Program on the occasion of AIT’s 60th Anniversary celebrations.
Thailand’s AIT Chinese Alumni Representative Mr. Liu Chongming (SEC ’93), Deputy Managing Director, China State Construction Engineering (Thailand) Co., Ltd. signed the agreement with AIT President Dr. Eden Woon for the Student Exchange Scholarship Program. Mr.
Liu was accompanied by Mr. Liang Xin (GTE ’92), Managing Director, Wonderful Marble Co. Ltd. The donation will support airfares and living expenses for Chinese students exchanging with global partner universities outside of China with which AIT has an agreement. In addition, the scholarship may be used for other purposes (e.g., supporting students from Belt and Road countries with round-trip air tickets when exchanging with any China university with which AIT has an agreement).
AITAA Hong Kong & Macau Chapter: 500,000 baht Mr. Thomas Yau (SEC ’89), President, AITAA Hong Kong & Macau Chapter, presented the donation to AIT President Dr. Eden Woon in support of the 60th Anniversary Fundraising Campaign towards the updating of Student Village 2, where most of the contributors stayed while studying at AIT. He also handed over books for student reference to the AIT Library.
