AIT Alumni from Taiwan visited and donated 300,000 THB for the creation of a Tai Chi Quan (also known as Tai-Chi or Tai Ji) playground at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). They also gave a demonstration of the ancient martial art, and presented a replica of calligraphic art created 1600 years ago. The martial art, with its rhythmic movements gives the impression of a sublime art form. Practitioners also demonstrated how to disarm, thwart, and repulse threats by using seemingly slow yet effective movements. The senior-most alumni belonged to the 1971 batch, while the youngest came from the 1996 batch of AIT.
